2020 CE Pro BEST Product Award for the Nest App
Last week, Virtual CEDIA Expo was held and DISH came away as a winner for 2020 CE Pro BEST Product Award for the Nest App on the Hopper Platform.
This year’s winning entries were chosen by an independent voting panel of integrators along with the editors at CE Pro. Products were judged on innovation, functionality, competitive advances, benefits to the end-user and benefits to the integrator.
As a reminder, Hopper customers can launch live video streams from their compatible Nest cameras on any compatible, connected TV in the home via the on-screen notification or the Nest App on the Hopper platform.
Viewers can access the Nest App via the DISH Apps Menu or by saying “Launch Nest” using the DISH Voice Remote.
Coming soon is an exciting update to this App- instead of being able to just see a photo of who is at your doorbell, viewers will be able to see live video feeds! Yes, that is right- stay tuned for the launch date, but it will be soon 😊

Friendly Reminder: Google Assistant App Setup
Open the Google Home App and tap Get Started
The Google Home App will start scanning for Google devices
Choose the Google device to setup and connect
A sound will play on the Google device when it connects
Select the room where the device is located
Choose the Wi-Fi network for the device
This should be the same network connected to the smart phone or tablet used for setup
Then the customer can configure their their Google device
Voice Match – provides personalized results based on the user's voice
Addresses – home and work addresses can be used for weather and commute information
Linking additional users and accounts – other users can link their Google accounts for personal results and preferences
Other preferences – choose which music service, response voice, and other options the customer prefers
