Thursday 5/26/2016: Dish has released a portable device for the streaming generation: HopperGo. This tiny gadget will let Dish subscribers take up to 100 hours of DVR recordings with them anywhere they go. The HopperGo turns into its own WiFi hotspot and creates a private cloud, which then allows you to stream shows or movies on an iPad or Android device. The Hopper Go features 64GB of built-in storage, with about four hours of battery life and supports up to five devices simultaneously. The video quality is "optimized for smartphones and tablets."
Additionally, you're also able to load other media into it, such as personal pictures or videos. Customers who have a Dish account can get the HopperGo for $99, and there are no monthly fees to worry about. The Hopper Go requires that you have a Hopper 2 or Hopper with Sling box.
